Global Account Manager | BCD Travel Corporate | New York, NY

a provenGlobal Account Manager based in New York, NY.
This position is responsible for managing global client relationshipsand
achieving all client and BCD Travel goals related to global
expansion,client retention, profitability, quality service, preferred
vendormaximization, technology implementation, on-line servicing, and
businessdevelopment for assigned client portfolio with global volume up
to $80 Million.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Develop global strategic business plan focusing on both client and BCD
Travelprogram objectives, ensure the customer's goal targets measure
success forfinancial, sales, and service
- Responsible for communicating plans and key objectives to both client
and BCDTravel in each applicable country, i.e. operations, finance,
IR,administration, and any other relevant department
- Responsible for contract management and understanding the terms of
thecontract to ensure that contractual commitments are continually met;
must monitor results on a global basis
- Responsible for the financial management of the contract, ensure
budgets andforecasts are submitted from each BCD Travel partner, ensure
financialagreements are invoiced and paid in a timely manner; ensure
country P&L arereconciled to include all value added services
- Set up and advise all appropriate partners of customer specific
reportingrequirements; review reporting to identify trends and impact on
the businessplan, review accuracy of reporting, benchmark and monitor
trends recommendingprogram change opportunities
- Work closely with U.S. implementation manager for U.S. operations;
oversee theimplementation of offices outside of the U.S.
- Plan and execute quarterly business review
- Plan annual strategic business review
- Develop and facilitate customer surveys where appropriate
- Develop global contact template
Qualifications:
- College degree required, business preferred
- Eight (8) years of travel industry experience (preferred).
- Minimum of five (5 years of travel industry experience in an
accountmanagement role (preferred).
- Through knowledge of travel agency operations and/or account
management.
- Experience in implementing and managing large market/global clients
- Highly analytical and literate in word processing, spreadsheets,
presentation,and email software
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
